Presentation Abstract
Agility as a process is well understood today in feedback generating sprints. Agility as a structure is becoming understood through collaborative cross-functional teams. However, Agility as a culture has very little exposure - yet it impacts every implementation.
This session provides a language for organizational culture, its impact on agility, and examples where exposing culture has aided adoption. We explore cultures within simple organizations, sub-cultures across larger organizations, and cultures bridging a corporate merger
Learning Outcomes:
* Introduction of a cultural language - control, competence, collaboration and cultivation
* Example companies exhibiting cultures which provide a grounding in the framework
* A relationship of organizational culture and organizational agility
* A survey tool which can be used to expose and visualize organizational culture
* Examples of exposing culture in various settings: single organization, across boundaries within a larger organization, and across a company merger
