Please join us for Joe Gee's presentation "Rejoining the Business: Aligning Rhythm, Direction, and Motivation".
Many software shops are very separated from their businesses like a vendor from their client. Rather than inviting an onsite customer to join the development team, Joe will discuss the forces on an agile team when they rejoin the business. Bringing the development team more directly into the world of fiscal schedules, sales cycles, and management objectives can put more stress and risk on a development team, but also bring better rewards. From automation and TDD to iteration planning and leaving slack, Joe will talk about adapting agile processes to more direct business pain and payoffs.
Joe Gee is a lifelong software developer who has spent the last 10 years leading and coaching agile teams and advocating for software craftsmanship. He has delivered best in class solutions in telecom billing solutions and visual software modeling tools and is currently working as Sr. Software Architect for ClickFox on delivering cutting edge customer experience analytics products.
The Decker Library is located at 1501 South Logan Street in Denver. There is plenty of street parking in the area.
